Our Services
When individual therapy begins, your therapist will work with you to create a judgment-free space where you can feel safe to navigate your healing journey together. During this process you will likely gain insight into the deepest parts of yourself, learn healthy coping skills to manage intense emotions, and develop a greater sense of self-worth and resiliency.
We use different forms of evidence-based therapies based on your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and the Trauma Resiliency Model, to reduce symptoms and improve overall quality of life.
Our Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist uses this approach when a client has experienced a single, or multiple traumas. This gentle therapy uses bilateral stimulation to detach distressing emotions from a traumatic memory.
This process allows the brain to fully process and naturally heal from distressing events. The memory still exists, but no longer has the power to cause a fight, flight, or freeze response.
During Couples Therapy we work with both partners concurrently to help them recognize and resolve different forms of conflict, miscommunication, or challenges that may be placing a strain on the relationship.
The therapist acts as a neutral party, supporting the couple in restoring trust, increasing emotional bonds, and building relationship resilience. Couples therapy has the potential to resolve new conflicts, as well as deep-seated ones.
During an assessment for a gender affirming care letter, we will explore your unique journey, including your gender identity, experiences, social support, and goals. Your therapist will work to help you feel empowered and informed about your options for gender-affirming care.
Following the assessment, your therapist can determine that you are ready and capable of making decisions about your gender identity, and provide a letter of support enabling you to access the medical interventions you need to better align with your authentic self. Ongoing therapy is not required, but recommended.
